Huawei is the largest Chinese Telecommunications and Infrastructure Company has been manufacturing mobile phones product since early 1997. This company makes tablet and smartphones that run on Android. And now it has stepped further into the smartwatch market with an Android based device. It’s become one of the big smartphone manufacturers from China. Huawei has launched its GX 8 smartphone in January 2016.

The Huawei GX 8 is a single SIM (GSM) smartphone and can accepts a Micro-SIM card. The device connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and 4G. It also have a sensors on the device include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Gyroscope and Accelerometer. The GX 8 smartphone provide a 5.5 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels X 1920 pixels at a 401 pixels per inch (PPI).

The Huawei GX 8 runs on Lollipop Android 5.1 and is powered by non-removable battery (3000 mAh capacity). It dimension measures as 152 mm height X 76.5 mm width X 7.5 mm thickness and it weight is 167 grams. It’s been operating on 1.5 GHz octa core Qualcomm Snap Dragon processor and comes with 2GB of RAM. The phone has 16 GB of internal storage and can be expanded up to 128 GB micro SD card. The phone packs with 13 megapixel primary rear camera and 5 megapixel front shooter camera for selfies.

Review of GX 8.

On the front area, the 5 megapixel selfie camera with 22 mm wide angle lens and f/2.4 wide aperture to capture wide self-portraits will give high quality video calling. The GX 8 smartphone runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop-based) with Emotion UI 3.1 technology from Huawei. On front camera, the device includes a 13 megapixel primary camera on the back with optical image stabilization, BSI sensor, f/2.0 aperture and 28 mm wide angle sapphire lens will give clear image. It also has an Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS) and dual tone LED flash for better performance in low light condition. It also has ability to record full HD videos 1080 pixels at 30 fps.

Regarding about the network, Huawei GX8 have the support of LTE Cat 4 and work compatible with multiple LTE network bands. As a result, the device supports maximum 50 Mbps upload speed on 3G and maximum download 150 Mbps speed on 4G. Huawei GX8 focus more about its fingerprint sensor technology as the main selling points of the product and have the ability to unlock the device in just 0.5 seconds.
